What can Girl Scouts do?
Girls
may participate in Girl Scout troops which meet on a regular basis after
school, evening or weekends. If they prefer, girls may also participate in
the Girl Scout program by meeting on a short- term basis with other girls
with similar interests or by attending camps and special events.
Daisy Girl Scouts learn many different things by doing arts and
crafts, singing songs, and playing games. They learn how to share and they
explore the exciting world around them.
Brownie Girl Scouts earn Try-its, go to camp, make new friends, do
crafts, dance, play games, explore, and develop new skills.
Junior Girl Scouts earn badges, learn new skills and discover new
things about themselves. Junior Girl Scouts take part in a wide variety of
programs including camp.
Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts begin to broaden the world around them
by earning Interest Project awards and by learning new leadership skills.
Cadettes and Seniors have many options open to them, including the Wider
Opportunity program. Leadership experiences are available in a variety of
ways, including working at summer camp!
Studio 2B (a more independent way of scouting) is an
opportunity for girls in grades 7 through 12.
