It is my sad duty to inform you that Jane Kiernan has died.

Jane was a 50 year member of Girl Scouting and also held 40 year membership as an Adult within the Clark, Garwood & Winfield Girl Scouting  community.   Jane will be dearly missed by all and especially those Girl Scouts at St. John the Apostle School. Our deepest sympathy, thoughts and prayers go out to the St. John the Apostle Community.

Award-winning 4th grade teacher, 56 Lifelong Clark resident, Girl Scout leader Ms. Jane C. Kiernan, 56, of Clark entered into eternal rest of Thursday, March 15, 2007. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. John the Apostle R.C. Church, Valley Road, Clark, on Monday, March 19, at 11 a.m. Visiting hours will be held at the church on Sunday from 3 to 6:30 p.m. and 8 to 9 p.m. Entombment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Born in Elizabeth, Ms. Kiernan was a lifelong resident of Clark. She graduated from Kean University with a B.A. in early childhood education in 1972. She was a 4th grade teacher at St. John the Apostle School since 1972, and was awarded the Outstanding Catholic Teacher Award in 1999. She was a coordinator of the morning and afternoon school programs at St. Johns. Ms. Kiernan was a member of the Parent and Faculty Guild and St. Johns Travel Club, and was the No. 1 fan of St. Johns Athletic Association.      She was a member of the Girl Scouts of Washington Rock Council within the Clark, Garwood & Winfield Girl Scout Service Unit for 50 years and served as an adult member for 40 years.

Sunday, March 18, 2007 - Viewing to be held at St John the Apostle Church     from 3 - 9 PM   (we have been advised that the 7PM Mass will go on as scheduled and viewing will resume after Mass)

Monday, March 19, 2007 - Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM
